Juozapas is a withdrawn, quiet boy who spends his days in the company of the insects he breeds. Under his thick knitted sweater, there is something sticking out in the middle of his chest, which is why the cruel kids at school call him “balloon”. Seeking an escape from the teasing, Juozapas finds shelter in an old forest and the mysterious rooms of an abandoned villa, where he builds an entire little world for his buzzing pets. A friend soon joins him there. Rugilè is the new girl in town who quickly befriends Juozapas and turns his life upside down. She is the first to learn his secret.
