12-year-old Paul and Max are best friends living in a small mountain village. Paul has a hard time coping with his father’s disappearance, so, on the last day of school, the two boys take his notes and head into the wilderness to find a legendary cave hidden deep in the mountains. In order to locate the cave, the boys must decipher Thomas’s notes about an ancient local legend. As they make their way through the forest maze, the little fugitives face challenges that exceed all of their expectations. Forced to overcome their fears, the boys learn more about each other and themselves.

About the director André Hörmann, Katrin Milhahn
André Hörmann
Writer/director focused on documentary filmmaking. He studied social sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin and film directing at Potsdam Film University. Hörmann has taught film at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. His films have won awards at numerous international festivals, including Sundance, IDFA, DOK Leipzig, SXSW, etc. His documentary feature Ringside (2019) premiered at Berlinale. He lives and works in Munich and Los Angeles.
Katrin Milhahn
German writer/director. She studied Screenwriting and Dramaturgy at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. She lives in Munich works as a screenwriter for film and television.
