Twelve-year-old Sofia is about to have the most boring summer ever – with no internet and in the company of two old ladies. But an idyllic Adriatic Island, a first kiss, a family reconciliation, and a brush with death will turn it into a priceless and unforgettable experience on Sofia’s coming of age journey. Based on the popular novel by Jasminka Petrović, How I Learnt to Fly won the award for Best European Film at this year’s BUFF Malmö Film Festival, as well as delighting the Croatian audience and winning the Pula Audience Award for best film in the International Programme.
