Imaginative teenager Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) is forced to babysit her little brother Toby one evening. Tired of his crying, Sarah wishes the goblins would take him. To her surprise, her wish comes true when the house is indeed inhabited by goblins, and the Goblin King Jareth (David Bowie) whisks Toby off to his castle. The castle is guarded by a wondrous labyrinth, full of apparitions, magical creatures, and unknown threats. Sarah has 13 hours to pass through the maze and save her brother from the goblins before he becomes one of them forever. In the labyrinth everything seems possible and nothing is as it seems.
