On near-future Earth, the climate crisis has been fixed, nature and technology are thriving, and every human has a personal robot assistant. Yet, not everything is peachy. For 12-year-old Alberte, school sucks and her old teddy-bear android Robbi is an embarrassment. Everything changes when she gets the best birthday present ever – the newest model of humanoid not even on the market. The new robot, Konrad, looks and acts like a real person, making Alberts’s popularity skyrocket. A true friendship seems to develop between her and Konrad – but is it possible to really be friends with a robot?

About the director Frederik Nørgaard
Graduated in Script writing from the National Film School of Denmark. He has worked as an actor since 1996 and has since written and directed several short and feature films. His debut feature, Villads fra Valby (2015), won the ECFA Prize for the Best European Film at the Oulu International Children’s Film Festival. Frederik’s other films include Kidnapping (2017), Team Albert (2018), and My Robot Brother (2022).
