Nine-year-old Vega and her wild little sister Billie go with their father on a two-day hike through the Norwegian woods. The long-awaited trip is filled with fun and play, but there is an accident and their father falls into a hole, twisting his ankle. Unable to move, he instructs Vega and Billie to go and get help. The girls feel lost at first, but after a few magical forest encounters, they accept the mission and face their fears. Along the way, they discover their superpowers and find strength in each other.

A Norwegian actress, musician and film director known for her work on films like Now It’s Dark, It’s Only Make Believe, and Monsterthursday. She plays the leading role in Jannicke Systad Jacobsen’s new film 110% Honest. Sisters – The Summer We Found Our Superpowers is her directorial debut.
Arild Østin Ommundsen
Norwegian director, screenwriter, cinematographer, editor, and producer. He made his feature film debut in 2001, with indie hit Mongoland, which he also co-wrote. His second feature film, Monsterthursday, was the first Norwegian film to screen in competition at Sundance. It won the Audience Award at the Mannheim IFF and has screened at numerous festivals worldwide.
