ARTICLE\u00a0I \u2013 General Provisions<\/b><\/p>\n
KinoKino \u2013 International Children\u2019s Film Festival will take place for the seventh time in Zagreb, Croatia, from September 28<\/strong><\/span> to October 2 2022, <\/b>Cinema Kinoteka.\u00a0Its aim is to get the Croatian audience acquainted with a selection of recent professional fiction films for children, with diverse accompanying film and workshop programs. By creating a special and different cinema-going environment, it is our wish to have an impact on the making of new generations of cinema audience.<\/span><\/p>\n ARTICLE II \u2013 Program and Application Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n In the competition program, <\/span>KinoKino Festival <\/b>will present an international selection of professional children\u2019s fiction film in category of feature fiction. Submitting applications for the seventh edition is not possible; the films will be selected by direct invitation.<\/span><\/p>\n ARTICLE III – Selection and Film Screenings<\/b><\/p>\n For the competition program, a selection panel will choose up to eight feature fiction films. Each of the selected films will be screened once or twice during the festival. All selected films will be screened in its original version with Croatian subtitles. <\/span><\/p>\n All the authors and producers of the selected films will have been notified by August 15 2022<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n Films which promote racism, or any other form of intolerance, or those which promote pornography shall not be taken into consideration by the selection panel.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>ARTICLE IV – Jury and Awards<\/b><\/p>\n The best entries in competition will be judged by two juries: a jury of professionals and a jury of children. The professional jury will consist of three film professionals, and the children\u2019s jury of five primary schoolchildren. Each jury will present one\u00a0award \u2013 for best feature film.<\/span><\/p>\n Awards:<\/span><\/p>\n KinoKino Award for Best Feature Film<\/b> \u2013 the director of the best feature film also receives a cash prize of 1000 \u20ac, at the discretion of the professional jury.<\/span><\/p>\n KinoKino Award for Best Feature Film at the discretion of the children\u2019s jury<\/b> \u2013 the director of the best feature film receives the award.<\/span><\/p>\n KinoKino Festival also has the <\/span>Audience Award<\/b>, at the discretion of the audience\u2019s vote after the screenings.<\/span><\/p>\n ARTICLE V – Press material<\/b><\/p>\n Upon the notice of selection, the festival will demand press material for each of the selected films, which has to contain the following:<\/span><\/p>\n By providing the materials, the producer or director authorises the festival to use and publish all listed materials in the festival’s catalogue, and authorizes it to use the materials in print media and on TV (up to three minutes of the film) for the purpose of promoting the festival in the media.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>ARTICLE VI\u00a0–\u00a0Transportation of Screening Materials<\/b><\/p>\n All screening materials of feature and short films should arrive to the festival\u2019s address by September 1, 2022 or later, depending on the arrangement with the distributor or producer. Film copies need to have English subtitles, except the films done in the English or Croatian language.<\/span><\/p>\n Transportation expenses of the screening materials will be covered by the festival in both directions, except in case the copy is transported to or from another festival. In that case the festival shares the transportation expenses with the other festival.<\/b><\/p>\n The parcel has to have the following sign: No commercial value, for cultural use only. Copies of the film will be returned no later than two weeks after the festival’s closing unless otherwise stipulated with the distributor or producer.<\/span><\/p>\n The festival’s selection panel reserves the right to reject the copies of low technical quality, which can cause possible problems in the course of its screening.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Article VII – Final Provisions<\/b><\/p>\n The Book of Rules is written both in Croatian and in English. In case of ambiguities in the interpretation of the text, the Croatian version is prevalent. Items that are not comprised in this Book of Rules will be considered directly by the festival organisers in compliance with the generally established Book of Rules. All the participants of the festival accept this Book of Rules.
